Sonar bridges the gap between the utilization reporting capabilities of MOSS 2007 and third-party analytic solutions by providing real-time component-level performance information for pages within a MOSS or WSS site collection.  By delivering performance statistics at the object level, Sonar allows developers, administrators and IT support personnel to isolate and identify the root cause of page performance bottlenecks with high degree of certainty.  By analyzing performance information at the server – before it is rendered to the client – Sonar can pinpoint trouble areas independent of the browser type, network connection or regional location of the user.

Sonar is available in two versions - Sonar Lite for Windows SharePoint Services sites and Sonar Standard Edition for Office SharePoint Server 2007 sites.
