Just in Time for SPC 2008 - The Bob 1.0 Special Edition!
I'm pleased to be the first to announce a very special treat just for you, my dear reader, so pay close attention.  For nearly a year many of us on the inside of the SharePoint MVP community have been participating in secret trials to produce a new and improved version of the one and only Bob Fox

For those few of you out there who are unaware of the Bob phenomenon, it's important to understand the history of this product.  The original Bob, version 0.5, was a very rough beta.  It was quite buggy and almost universally reviled but was just useful enough to garner a cult-like following.  The subsequent upgrade, Bob 1.0, was the ultimate killer app - rough around the edges, not the prettiest UI, a bit ascerbic in tone and presentation, but, when injected with the proper amount of alcohol, one of the most entertaining programs ever developed.  In fact, it won many admirers and was generally considered a smashing success.

Unfortunately, as with many great things that aren't quite mainstream enough, the urge to make The Bob more marketable to a wider audience proved impossible to resist.  The much beloved 1.0 version was subsequently replaced by two less than thrilling sequels; sure, they had a nice shiny new interface, an improved communication layer and generally operated will with other systems, but they were B-O-R-I-N-G.  Many Bob 1.0 fans wished for the rough and tumble days of the old Bob, when you never knew quite what to expect but always knew it was going to be a fun ride.

So, it is with great pleasure that I am able to announce that, due to overwhelming popular demand, Bob 1.0 will be returning at SharePoint Conference 2008.  The creators of Bob finally realized that messing with a good thing was just getting in the way of perfection.  So, live from stage in Seattle, Washington the week of March 3rd, in conjunction with the ever popular Joel Oleson, the Special Edition of Bob 1.0 will be released on the unsuspecting public.  Digitally remastered with many previously unseen behaviours and deleted stories, Bob 1.0 SE promises to be lurid entertainment at its best.

If you have not already made plans to attend this event, do not delay any longer - tickets are selling fast and you won't want to miss this once-in-a-lifetime event.  Head on over to www.mssharepointconference.com and reserve your seats today.  You might be sorry but you're sure to be entertained!

Too funny

Let's write KB articles on all the releases. Couple of bugs were  fixed already :-) I heard beta testing might be coming up soon for Bob 4.0 that will possibly have enhanced "common sense" and “ethics” modules
Very exciting
